1. Why are some plants and animals looked at organic?

Organic food, according to individuals' views, is food which has been produced and treated using natural processes. Although it is fabulous for individuals it is crucial to the protection of the surroundings.

If any crop and any plant are grown with no fertilizers, artificial additives, synthetic pesticides and several types of biotech, then they are classified as organic. If animals are fed with organically grown feed, not confined to small spaces for long periods and do not take antibiotics, they are then interpreted organic.

Varied standards which specify and certify organically grown food exist from many countries.

2. So, is organically grown food therapeutic for us anyway?

Antioxidant and vitamin formation is improved when pesticides are not utilised on plant life.not organically grown food when likened to organic food has less nutritional value.

There is also the concern of small level contamination by pesticides in crops or plants which then enters the human body when the food is eaten. When animals are vaccinated utilising antibiotics they get small amounts of resistance to diseases and may be more expensive to rear.

3. Is it remedial for the surroundings?

It is considered that organic farming releases little toxins or synthetic chemicals into the surroundings resulting in cleaner groundwater and richer soil. Water contamination with pesticides is a specific problem in drinking water and is also known to kill underwater life. The net outcome is the interruption of the vital food web if pollution occurs.

It is also known that organically grown food demands little energy since it solely relies on natural methods to make. Little quantities of waste are created since overall little packaging materials are required. Genetically altered plants and animals are non-organic species which would genetically contaminate the naturally existing organic ones.

It seems there is information that more output per hectare are produced by genetically changed crops when likened to organic crops. Although, the yields for organically grown foods are slightly small amounts of than for non-organically grown food they require substantially small amounts of fertilizer and pesticides.

4. Are we able to afford food which is organic?

The high perceived value of food which is organic makes it more expensive than non-organic, because it is inexpensive to produce. A cost effective way is to get your organic food directly from the farmer whom you know. Normally, it is the foreign organically grown foods which tends to be more costly, but could be of superior quality since the crops may have been grown under the best climatic situations.

Foods which are organic are clearly labelled in some countries in a standardized way and therefore easily determined.Having enough knowledge of the local farming community methods of producing organic farm products is essential in guaranteeing that the food you are getting is truly organic.However, alien food which is organic may be hard to verify and most of the time you rely on the "say so" of the shop owners and this is still a gray area for several shoppers.
